SCHOOLS REGISTRATION HAS NOW CLOSED – WE WILL CONTACT SCHOOLS IN DUE COURSE WITH UPDATES
1. We were delighted to be able to invite every school in Birmingham to bring 15 pupils and upto 2 staff members to come to Alexander Stadium on Wednesday 18th & Thursday 19th July to watch the American Track & Field team Train before they move to London to compete in the Olympics.
We have also built an exciting sports festival around this opportunity in Perry park for your pupils to participate. You can choose from a number of sports for your pupils to have a go at. These choices will be given on a first come first served basis.
2. The Jamaican Track & Field Team train will be training at the The University of Birmingham on Wednesday 18th July and we can provide the opportunity for a limited number of schools to watch this session.
Spaces are extremely limited due to venue capacity and we are offering 550 places to schools who have been identified by the University as ‘partnership schools’ or who have strong working relationships through the A2B programme. In addition places will be offered to Birmingham schools who fulfil the qualifying criteria . We know there will be a large demand for these opportunities so we have designed the clear and fair criteria on the attached form to help us select the successful attendees.
